The boy is not part of the real me. You are the only one who knows me truly. Please, don't let him get in the way of our marriage. I have nothing to do with him, I regret ever having him born, it wasn't me!" She turned his head to face her. "Please! Will you forgive me? I know I should have told you, but I wanted to forget about him!"

The words cut deep for Elladan, he was hurt knowing that she had had a child with Sarac...but hearing Narya renounce her own son with such ferver upset him even more. He tore his gaze from hers, not wanting to talk and definitely not wanting to see her. Not now. Perhaps not ever, he wasn't sure at the moment. All he knew was he needed to get away, to think..."The fact that you have no care for your own child Narya...." he paused, "sickens me."
Roughly he pushed past her, not bothering to look over his shoulder nor even listen to any noise she made. Truly she knew nothing of love, if she bore no adoration for her own flesh and blood.

Someone walked before him in the forest, Elladan stopped...hesitant about continuing onward. Then swallowing took another stride, quickening his pace until at long last he caught sight of Sarac. He had to speak with him, he just....didn't quite know how.

The old man passed the night thinking of what was to come. Surely this boy was the one they needed. The one the world needed now. Sarac had gone, but the man knew where he was. He knew a lot of things. He knew of Elemak's past and future. He knew of Sarac. He knew of what happened in Mirkwood. He knew even of a marriage that would come when the sun got up again, in a land far to the south where all was joy and bliss. And he knew the man that now was there, was the happiest man alive.

Thorongil got up at the first sign of the sunlight. A strange feeling burnt in him, but there was no time now to pay attention to it. Aragorn's servants had already come, and as Thorongil came to the small pavilion and the fountain, he saw that already preparations had been made. And he smiled. She'd like it.

Several small taps woke Elwyn from her sleep, blinking she listened in silence making sure she hand't just dreamed it.
"My lady?" called a voice, "my lady Arwen sent us to wake you, there is much to prepare for today miss..!"
Elwyn smiled and sleepily sat up in bed, "come in then, I am awake..."
The door opened and in came three of the Lady Arwens handmaidens. One had a platter of breakfast, whilst the others were to tend to readying the young bride for todays ceremony. She ate quickly, drinking the last bit of water before finally relinquishing it from her grasp. The other maids saw to it that she had bathed, sending her a robe to wrap in; they saw to it that her hair was dried, brought her several dresses to choose from, as well as the circlet Arwen had given to her earlier.
Soon the young elleth stood before the mirror, tears daring to flow onto her pale face. The dress she'd selected was light blue, covered in lace that appeared as though it were a frost. Long billowing sleeves flowed nearly to the ground, and the bottom of the gown gathered in folds around her feet.

Soon.

Soon the trumpets would sound, calling all that would to witness the moment.

They clad him in bright white and silver. His bare feet stood in the dew of the soft grass, between the rays of golden light that touched the earth, falling in through the young leaves of high trees. A long cloak was hung around his shoulders, and the King of the Reunited Kingdom gave him a small green stone. " Keep it with you today, Thorongil," Aragorn said to him, " and show it only to her. " The Ranger nodded. " Thank you. " Aragorn smiled and walked away.

Thorongil looked around, with the soft singing of a small stream behind him, going swiftly through the grass only to end in a pool. Two swans came flying up from the vale of Anduin and circled down in the pool with an elegant swing of their wings.

The white and golden flowers in the grass opened all now the Sun sent all of her warmth to the Citadel, and lower to the other circles of the City. Thorongil's eyes followed the wind blowing through the banners. And his gaze fell for a brief moment on Elwyn's room. He smiled.

(copost by K & L)

The door to the lady's room slowly crept open, Arwen peered her head in smiling at the elleth in blue. "It suits you.." she said, finally entering, making sure to close the door behind her. For a brief moment they shared silence and a long gaze, before at last Arwen spoke.
"We have arranged something special for you.”
"Special? What?" Elwyn asked, taking a step closer to the Queen.
"Come.." Arwen took Elwyn's into her own and lead her slowly down the hall...

Down the winding stairs...

Until at last they stood on the bottom level.

"You shall be presented in the fashion of elves," her voice perked with happiness as two tall elven men stepped forward with wedding banners. "They are expecting us soon."

And with as much patience as was possible in a situation like this, Thorongil awaited her arrival. Aragorn came back suddenly, his hands wrapped around a wooden box, richly encarved with gold and silver, and with the eternal smile on his face.
"What do you carry with you now?" Thorongil asked curious.
"Aha!" the King exclaimed. "We..." his voice fell into whispering," we have arranged something. "
"I did not know you liked conspiracies that much, my liege," Thorongil replied with a grin.
"Oh, but you will be surprised, my friend. And so will she." Thorongil started lowering his voice now as well. A little further, one of the servants came closer.
"Is everything ready?" he asked Aragorn. "I mean, the..." His eyes rolled around. Aragorn knew what he meant.
"It lies over there" Pointed to the pavilion. "Under a tree." They both giggled as young children.
"Perfect. She'll love it."

Elwyn smiled, bowing her head a little, “it would have pleased me so, for Elladan and Elrohir to carry the banners.” She grinned half heartedly as she remembered the faces of her cousins, bringing a tear to her eye she quickly caught it with her finger.
“Do not fret…they know you want them here, but it seems the Valar have different plans for them,” Arwen reassured her. “Now come, let us get you prepared..” she turned to the handmaidens. “I will leave you with them, I must go to my King.” Quickly did Undomiel leave the room and go to the side of her king, watching in anticipation for all to begin. She saw him, with Thorongil smiling like children, raising much suspicion within her but paying it no mind stood with her king.
“Is she ready?” Aragorn asked, putting his hand on top of Arwens.
“Yes…she waits now for all to begin,” she looked to Thorongil, “I believe that means all should return to their proper places.”

(Continuation of the co-post, alas with delay of K)

And returned to his proper place he did.
Thorongil seemed to awake for the second time that day, as Elwyn appeared on the soft grass down the lawn, escorted by two Elves in the shining sun.
He bowed his head and smiled. The summer's breeze blew through her hair, he saw. As she approached him, his smile broadened, as did the new feeling inside of him. The two swans still sat there, awaiting what was to come with intense attention. " You have come, " he said softly. He felt a slight shiver running down his spine, a subtile sign for him to stand up straight again and broaden his shoulders. " You look marvellous. " From somewhere in a high chamber of one of the many towers of the city, a woman began singing a welcome to the sun. "Good morning sunshine, " Thorongil whispered, his eyes caught by Elwyn's fair face.

Sarac heard the footsteps behind him but it wasn't until he turned around that he knew who they belonged to. He was still out of earshot of the camp so it would be able to speak freely. He turned and punched a tree so he wouldn't punch Elladan. He waited until the Elven lord was within earshot before speaking.

"Look Elladan," he snapped. "I am really not in the mood to talk to you so speak up."

Narya watched Elladan storm away, a mixture of feelings running through her brain. She felt her heart breaking, that her love had treated her like a criminal, she felt angry that he couldn't understand her, she felt tired, the events of the day had drained her...But she had no time to rest. She knew that she had to get away. If Elladan was leaving her, it would be easier if she wasn't around. Standing up, she went at once to the Stables.
Her beautiful grey Mustang was waiting for her. Mounting him, she tried to decide where to go. Rivendell was almost deserted, Lothlorien completly deserted, Mithlond would tear her heart to pieces...then it hit her. Gondor. If she hurried, she might be able to make it to Elwyn and Thorongil's wedding. Without a second thought, she turned her horse, and galloped away as fast as possible to the South.

(Let's just say that she left a few days before the other posts)

Brethilliel clatered into the first level of Minas Tirith, coming to a halt beside a stablehand. The elf Princess dismounted as the first rays of the sun hit the horse. "Has it started yet?!" she asked.
"Within a few minutes."
She made her way quickly up to the wedding, making sure to keep to the shadows. She didn't want to make her presence know, not yet. She didn't want to disrupt the ceremony.

Elladan looked to Sarac, "neither am I, I just wish to tell you this..." he shot a glance past the elf, to the strange man and the child that sat perched watching their every move. Elladan's heart saddened, "your son deserves the very best Sarac...I just wanted to tell you that." He smiled, "I will be leaving Mirkwood as well...some things take time and solitude to be looked beyond. To me the love of a child is a sacred thing, and to voluntarily walk away from that love without good cause...is....deplorable." Walking away from them he turned one last time, "I owe you many things Sarac, thank you for what sacrifices you have made."

-----------------------------------------------
((another MASSIVE co-post btw K & L))

Elwyn smiled up at Thorongil, "good morning my love." A gentle breeze blew by them, adding a hint of cool in contrast to the heat of the morning sun. The elven escorts stood behind the pair, their banners
held high so as to add a beautiful silken backdrop. Arwen and Aragorn stood at the head of the Commencement, watching both with wide smiling faces. Elwyn looked around the crowd, glancing anxiously...hoping upon hope that by some sheer chance she would catch the faces of her friends. That they had caught on the couples idea and followed after them...but nay, none stood in the midst Of strangers face. Looking back to her beloved she smiled, allowing her hands to creep slowly into his.
"Slept well?" he asked her as his fingers caught hers. The ceremonial part of the day had begun. And as the sun finally burst through and bathed the citadel in a golden light, Thorongil ran away to the tree Aragorn had appointed, and there he found what he had made, a long time ago. He took it up and ran back to Elwyn, his fair Elwyn.
Unfurled it.
"It's a banner," he smiled shyly. On it stood a single silver leaf, and a star carried by an eagle in the night. "It's for you, Silverleaf, " he said and offered it to her.
She gazed on the banner, bringing up a hand to slowly trace the leaf with her fingertips. Looking to Thorongil her eyes filled with tears, "it's beautiful." She wiped her eyes dry, then took the banner in her hands and held it close. The sweet smell of spring flowers grew as the heat of the sun danced over the plains. The king stepped forward.
"I'm glad you like it."
He took yet another of the white flowers of the Tree and put it in her hair. Then he took over the banner again. "I'll carry it for you. For a while, at least." He threw a quick glance over his shoulder, down the seven levels of the city, to where the River made his way around the Pelennor. Many men were there, working on something. They were short on time, so they hurried as ants. Thorongil smiled nervously. "Shall we marry now?" he asked.
Elwyn nodded without a word, turning her head to look at the face of Aragorn as he continued to walk toward them. Together her and Thorongil strode forth to meet the King and stood still before him as the sun crested high in the sky. All grew quiet, the song in the background died into a whisper and then faded into nothingness…it seemed even the sparrow in the air had stopped singing to watch. Elwyn could feel her heart beating, it pounded mercilessly within her chest causing her to place a gentle hand upon her breast in an attempt to calm herself. She blushed lightly, looking up into the eyes of the man she would soon wed.
The King placed one hand on Elwyn's shoulder, the other on Thorongil's. The Elves with their banners walked up and halted behind the two. The wind ceased. As a small cloud flew past the top of the mountain, the wedding ceremonial began. Thorongil smiled at seeing his beloved blush, but he felt his heart going fast as well. " It is a nice day for a wedding," Aragorn began, " and I am honored to wed these two, friends of old and born for each other."
Elwyn and Thorongil looked to one another, sharing a smile before turning back to the King. Aragorn looked to each and smiled as well, "would you both please take a step forward, then face one another?"
They did so and the King grinned, taking Elwyn's hand into his own he kissed it before placing it at rest in Thorongils.
"The Valar have lead you together in a union that shall not be tarnished over time nor over age, though at times you may grow weary you will both rest in the knowledge that forever shall your souls be joined."
Thorongil nodded, as if he knew.
The King went on.
"And even though time passes quickly, that time you will be together, as you have chosen. And there will be no one, be it man, Elf or Vala, who can take that from you, as you are bound before Eru, who is one, and there are none who stand above him. I speak in his name when I declare you husband and wife now."

Aragorn gave them both a warm look.

The world seemed to go on again. A bird continued a song. The surrounding people clapped their hands and threw flowers. Thorongil turned to Elwyn, his Elwyn, the Elwyn he had met long, long ago. He took her hand into his and stooped a small kiss on it. Then he kissed her, and his heart felt like it stopped beating for a short moment.
Thorongil leaned in, wrapping his arms around her then kissing her lips. She returned the kiss happily, feeling as though one of the Mithrandir’s fireworks had exploded within her heart. As they pulled away from one another the mass of watching people began clapping for them. Faces lit with cheer and merriment allowed the couple to feel even more at home than they would perhaps anywhere else. Elwyn’s hand found his, fingers intertwined…she was her husband. Husband!!! She smiled widely. They had finally done it.
He felt alive. More alive then he had felt ever before, as his hand captured Elwyn's. The swans threw one last gaze upon the happy couple, then spread their wings and flew up, over the ridge and down to the golden fields and to the River. There they stooped down again, their elegant bodies touching the warm water.
"There's something waiting for us, my love," Thorongil said, slowly leading her down the road, followed by both King and Queen. Down they went, through every of the seven gates until they came at last on the road leading to Harlond, the Haven.
“There is more to this day yet?” Elwyn asked, her tone was happy yet surprised and as she followed along side Thorongil her mind couldn’t help but wander. Down the city streets they went, circling until the final level was left behind, “what more is there my love?” she asked, unable to contain her excitement.
"Aha!"
Thorongil laughed, Elwyn's banner still in his hands. " A surprise." They came now to the docks of Minas Tirith, where a small ship was anchored. "Surprise, " he said, " we're going to make a little trip. " He stepped aboard and waved his hands. Ran back. Offered his arm, which she gratefully took. "Welcome on the Queen, " he smiled. " I hope everything will be to your liking."

The swans circled around the ship, their long necks curved.

"A trip?" Elwyns eyes met his as her arm circled under his. "I remember the first time I stepped onto a boat with you...the corsairs.." she smiled stepping onto the deck and releasing his arm. Striding slowly over to the side of the boat she rested her arms on the railing and looked into the water. Her reflection stared back. "You didn't speak much then..." she laughed softly.

Soon the boat had been pushed from it's dock and sails furled in the wind. A trip....

A trip where? she grinned walking back to mate. Walking behind him, she gently took hold of his waist and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I remember it as well," he said, looking at her. " But I promise this one's going to be better. " He breathed in deeply and slowly, but his heart raged on. "We'll go to Cair Andros, " he said then, kissing her forehead. " Everything's prepared there, Aragorn has told me. " He smelled her hair, and the small flower in her hair. " You didn't think we would marry without a splendid meal afterwards, now did you?"
“I cannot recall what I thought,” she smiled, “all my dreams were simply that of marrying you, I paid little attention to any other detail.” She laughed softly, kissing him on the cheek. The breeze blew softly across the waters, the boat tottered as waves pushed lightly against its sides, gulls called high above them flying in circles in the open sky.
“What else is up your sleeves Thorongil?” she looked at him, eyes dark pools, trying desperately to lure him into telling her his secrets.
" Do you think I'd tell you that? he asked with a smile. "Then you were wrong. But I hope you trust me enough to believe me when I say it's going to be marvelous. Nothing but the very best. "
His eyes searched for the distant shape of an island in the distance, and found it soon. " There we are, " he said, pointing to the many towers of Cair Andros. The wind blew through their hair, and the ship now cleaved the water at full speed.

As Elladan walked away, the ful scope of what he had said hit Sarac like a blow to the stomache. Sarac ran forward and grabbed Elladan's arm.

"Elladan," Sarac said, slowly. "You better not be saying what I think you're saying."

"I need to be alone." he said, trying to get out of Sarac's strong grip.

"No," said Sarac gritting his teeth. "What you need is to go to Minas Tirith. That way you can get married without keeping Narya waiting..." Sarac looked into Elladan's eyes and saw something.

"You're not going are you?"

Soon the ship docked, and Elwyn waited patiently on her new husband to ready the ship for departure. She watched him silently, a smile formed on her pink lips. "When you're ready.." she said gently..."I am going to starve while I wait on you." She laughed jokingly.
--------------------------

Elladan looked at Sarac, "I don't know what Im going to do. My head says one thing and yet my heart says another." He paused and looked to the ground before looking up and speaking again, "I need time away from all the influences and advise of everyone, so that I may seek council from my own soul."
He slowly began to walk away, "I will journey southward." He had all intentions on saddling his steed and riding off at full speed, where he had the opportunity to cry alone and not fear being seen by people. "If it is the will of the Valar I will see you again Sarac. Navaer.." and with those words he disappeared into the forest, found his horse and rode off.

"I never said you had to wait, Elwyn, " Thorongil sighed, jumping off the ship. He looked up to the towers of the palace of Cair Andros. " It's not there, " he said. "It's there. "
He pointed to a little house at the border of the village, near some trees. "I hope you don't mind, but I was getting tired of big towers and huge halls. Everything should be ready inside. "

Together, they went down the path, to the door of their little house.

Narya spent the rest of the day wandering Minas Tirith. She had missed the City so much, her heart was happy there. Once more, she turned her head to look at the Sea, the beautiful crashing waves on the shore before looking back to the City. She wanted to talk to someone...anyone...her heart was tearing into pieces. Aragon. King Elessar would help her, he was the wisest person she knew, and the one she trusted the most. She would go to him.
The elven Princess instantly set off up to the Citadel, turning heads as she went. It was strange to see such a High elf in Minas Tirith these days, they had almost all disappeared.

Thorongil opened the door to the small house, Elwyn pulled up the bottom of her dress slightly and stepped inside. Smiling widely she turned looking around at the quaint cottage, she then noticed the table of food and the candlelight that flickered.

"It's wonderful Thorongil.." she said as she took a step closer, he followed, pulling out a chair and motioning for her to sit. She did so and watched as he too took a chair beside her.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Elladan rode hard through Mirkwood until at last he broke out of the western border. His horse breathed heavily and together they stopped along the Anduin. Drinking deeply and resting for a moment he stared up at the sky, darkness was coming. He laid back on the soft ground and thought...

Sarac walked back to the camp, stunned.

"What wrong, ada?" asked Elemak rubbing his eyes and getting up.

"Nothing." he said. "Come on we have to get to Minas Tirith. Need to go see a girl."

Thorongil lit all the candles and looked out of the window. Sun was sinking now, but her last rays of light were warm and brought with them a deep, reddish light. "Up the stairs is a little balcony facing west and south," he said, sitting down at the other side of the small but richly dressed table. "I'm glad you like it Elwyn," he smiled.

"A girl?"
The old man raised quickly and lifted his hands. "No. There is no time for that kind of things, Sarac. Your son needs to be taught. No time for city trips. There is much at stake."

Sarac's eyes said enough.

"Fine," the old man continued, agitated now, "do as you will. But I will go with the both of you."

The newly married couple ate their fill, then journeyed up to where the balcony was. Against the house sat a small bench, perfect for sitting in to watch the sun whether it be coming or going. They sat down together, Elwyn laying her head against his chest and watched as the sun sank beneath the horizon and the land grew dark. Stars soon filled the void of sky and twinkled down majestically.

The elleth looked up into her husbands eyes and smiled, before her lips met his in a soft kiss. Her hand crept to his chest and went upward to his cheek.

Petergo wondered around the halls with a huge frown on his face.
“Well, this isn’t very good!” he exclaimed, as he passed yet another elf who he didn’t know. “They’ve all vanished! Every single one of them! I’ve been left behind!” He grumbled as he plodded along. The poor Hobbit had seen neither hide nor hair of any of his friends for some days now, and while he knew Elwyn and Thorongil had left to marry; he was clueless to why the others had all suddenly vanished. He turned around the next corner he could find in the hallway, to find his way back up to his room. Elrohir and Aerhíril he thought were still around somewhere, but he, like the others; had not seen them for a while now.
“Well, there’s no point hanging around here when you don’t know anybody but the King,” he added. His royal highness was not exactly favourable of the Hobbit, as he had caused many troubles and difficulties over the past few years in the form as his apparently harmless pranks, which were always described by Pete as ‘just a bit of fun’. Still, although the Elven King made noises about his trouble making ways, he must have found them amusing to some extent, or he would’ve kicked Pete out years ago.

The hobbit came to his bedroom door and unlocked it before going inside. He then went over to gather his belongings and put them all in a pack which he would be able to manage over a long trip. When he went to get his small sword and walking stick, (he did not need a stick to walk, for he was still young; but walking sticks were always appreciated on long journeys, whatever age); he stopped by some old parchments of old hand written songs about Smaug the Dragon and Bilbo Baggins’ trip with the Dwarves. He found himself wondering how nice and fun it would be to go off treasure hunting like old Bilbo had done all those years ago. Not that the adventures he had shared with his friends over the past few years weren’t enough, it was just that Pete rather fancied the idea of being paid to risk your neck while fighting Orcs and Goblins for a greater good. With one last look at the sheets, he pushed them into his pack before slinging it over onto his back.

“Well, time to go home.” He sighed, looking at the room he had grown so fond of during his stay with the wood elves. “I do hope old Bilbo’s still surviving there; and it would be nice to see Merry and my brother.” He mumbled to himself quietly, remembering the Shire and his home at Green-Hill, which by now probably had some serious work to it that needed to be seen too. He went out of his room, locked the door, unsure if he would return; and then started down the stairs. He wasn’t planning on leaving without playing one final trick, and if he came across Aerhíril or Elrohír on his way out he would most definitely ask them to join him. After all, the crossing of the Misty Mountains would prove to be a lot easier if he had two elves with him.

Narya went down to the Stables to find her Mustang. Unable to find the King, she had finally decided to go for a ride and try to clear her head on the wide plains of Gondor. Finding Brethilliel, she mounted him, and rode out into the fields. Little did she know who she would end up meeting there...

The company kept riding on throughout the day until, at last, they were on the plains of Gondor. Out in the distance Sarac could make out a figure riding around on a horse.

"Narya." he wispered to himself. "Elemak," he said in his normal voice. "I need to go away for a while, I'll find you later, don't worry." Elemak got on the other man, of whom Sarac still didn't know his name, and Sarac sped off towards Narya. When he found her she was not entirely happy.

"What do you want now?" she asked in an annoyed tone.

"It's Elladan," said Sarac. "He's gone."

Narya suddenly grabbed Sarac by the throat and lifted him off the ground. "Where is he?!" she demanded. "Where did Elladan go?!"

She was gripped for the first time with the horror that she might lose Elladan forever. Her hand was shaking and the look of fear in her eyes was almost too much for Sarac. But as soon as she had grabbed him she let him go again. "Sarac...I can't lost him again. I just can't. I love him so much, you have absolutely no idea!"
