Alright everyone here it is - those of you who have already joined just jump right in a post! If you haven't joined and would like to just go over and post in the OOC for it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It was a pleasure doing business with you!" Levi mocked, bowing low, only his treacherous black eye visible. He kicked the blindfolded man roughly forward sending him to the ground while he snatched up four large bags of gold. He felt the heavy weight of the full bags and grinned wickedly before slinging them over his shoulder.
He turned and began to make his way out of the great hall when he caught sight of a weeping, young maiden. He smirked and walked over to her.
"Don't cry lass! You'll get over me soon enough! Besides, you were a great help to me when I needed to get close to your father and for that I thank you! I couldn't have gotten him without you!" he told her teasingly, "You'll find someone who really loves you eventually, but until then, be careful who you fall in love with! Farewell!" he finished.
Grabbing her, Levi pulled her forward and kissed her firmly on the mouth. As soon as he drew back, she slapped him across the face. Levi shook his head and winked at her,
"Tut tut! That is no parting gift! What did I ever do to deserve that from you eh?" he laughed, before quickly leaving the hall.
Once he was outside, Levi grabbed the nearest horse he could find and slung all the gold across its back before vaulting on. Kicking the horse sharply, he galloped out the gates and out of sight.
That night, an ugly, dirty raven with a missing eye flew down to where Levi had stopped for the night. Levi snatched the parchment from its leg and tore it open, a wide grin on his face. His grin broadened as he chucked the message into the fire.
"Well, well, well how long has it been since I last heard from you Asgar? Two years?" he thought aloud,"I suppose I might as well see what you want!" He jumped up and got back on the horse he had stolen, much to its protest at being woken in the middle of the night and set off at a gallop.
The first rays of sunlight crept across the roofs and buildings of Minas Tirith as Levi entered the city. He didn't stop until he had reached a shabby old building with a hidden door. Dismounting, he took his gold and gave the sweaty horse a slap across the rump who galloped off down the alleyway. Turning to the door, Levi barged through and slammed it loudly behind him.
"Don't take another step or I'll put this dagger through you!" a harsh voice snarled.
Levi laughed, whipped out one of his own daggers and flung it at the direction where the voice came from, knocking the dagger out of the man's hand.
"Ah, but I'm too quick for you Asgar! You'll never match me when it comes to fighting.... or anything as a matter of fact!" Levi answered good humouredly.
"So its you Levi! Weren't you ever taught to knock?!" Asgar snapped.
"No I wasn't! And anyway - when have you ever known me to?" Levi replied calmly, his voice filled with amusement.
Asgar merely glared at him and lit some candles so he could see Levi before sitting down again. "I guess I'm not used to having you around!"
"Yes, I can see you're a little rusty on the reflexes! That reminds me - why did you ask me here?" Levi inquired as he grabbed a bottle of wine and took a swig from it.
"I have a job for you! It's been a while since you've worked for me!"
"It has, but I'm doing very well by myself!" he answered motioning to his bags of gold at his feet. "Well what is this job then?"
"Sailing!" Asgar retorted sarcastically, "What do you think?! No you're going to have to wait until everything's in place - then I'll tell you what it is!"
"Wow! Someone's very short on their temper! What's wrong Asgar? Getting old?" Levi whistled. However, his face soon changed to a picture of disgust, "You mean you called me here for nothing! When will I know?!" Levi spat, throwing the bottle of wine at Asgar who narrowly missed it.
"When I'm ready! Now go out and amuse yourself or something! I need you close at hand when the time is right!" Asgar retorted. Levi looked displeased but his eyes lit up at the thought of causing havoc.
"Alright! But it better be good!" Levi told him before standing up. "Let me know soon. I don't stay amused for long!" he finished before taking his gold and leaving.
As soon as Raen's out of prison Asgar thought to himself as Levi left, an evil look on his face.
(Yay Arwen_Undomiel22 I am glad you have started! I hope you do not mind me posting now, and if you do not like anything please tell me I can always change it.)
~~~~~
Stepping lightly from the shore of the water, the slender mershe-elf grabbed a cream colored sheet perched on a brush branch jutting from a large rock in which she hid behind, quickly rapping it about her, soaking up the beads of water from her soft peachy-cream skin. Aireon twisted her long crimson hair ringing out the water, her long delicate elven ears protruded from her hair.

After dressing in her white and wine colored dress, Aireon hooked a brown belt loosely about her petit waist, holding a silver dagger, sword, and small coin purse. Gazing out the sparkling water, Aireon’s bright blue eyes glittered with happiness, and her full scarlet lips curved into a smile at the peacefulness of the water.

Walking swiftly through the white sand of the shore, a grin spread across her face again as she remembered she was to sell apples again today. Aireon did all sorts of odd jobs, from stringing bows, making armor, to helping the sick and wounded, and selling food.

Coming upon an old brown wooden home, she entered setting down the cream clock by the doorway, “Hello Gilben, I am here to take the apples to market today,” she said with a joyful smile. The dark haired man smiled at her, and nodded to the kitchen. Aireon picked up the large bushel of apples, and left toward the marked. Strolling gracefully down the street her large bright blue eyes caught a face she had not seen before. A tall man carrying three bags of what looked to be gold. Walking up to him Aireon asked politely with a smile, “Would you care for an apple Sir?”

(lovely post Electra! Don't change a thing! )

Levi sauntered down the streets, whistling to himself as he looked about him, wondering what to do. It had been a long time since he had last been in Minas Tirith and he was deciding where to go first.

He turned sharply around the corner and strolled down the street. As he walked, he suddenly heard a voice talking to him,
“Would you care for an apple Sir?”

Levi raised his eyebrows, surprised to have been talked to so gracefully and to be called 'sir' also. He turned to see a bright pair of blue eyes looking at him. He looked the fair maiden over and smiled. He could see her elven ears and he noticed that she had amazing crimson hair. He whistled softly, now here was a maiden you wouldn't forget!

He was about to reply that he had no money, when he remember his sacks of gold and laughed. He was sure anyone would think he was insane if he told them he had no money. Pulling one down he opened it and pulled out some coins.
"Well of course fair lady I shall buy one of your red apples! Who could resist if the request comes from such a beautiful lady!" he charmed, smiling at her. He handed her the money and gave her a few extra gold coins. He accepted her apple in return.

"May I inquire as to what your name may be?" he asked her, using the best manners he could pull together. His black eyes glittered warmly as he awaited her response.

"Don't even think you can try to bring me anywhere I don't want to go!" Raen laughed as the bleeding soldier ran out of his cell and slammed the heavy steel door behind him.

Raen shook his head once more, and pocketed his small dagger. "Idiot!" he muttered. He walked around his cell and wondered what else he could do for excitement. He had already added another 'R' to the large collection on the back wall and this time they had put him in a cell alone, so he had no one to talk to. Sitting down on the cold, damp floor he pulled out some pipeweed and began to chew on it, the guards having taken another pipe from him a few days ago.

He sighed and began to hum softly. The only thing he didn't like about the prisons was the silence of his cell or the consistent moanings from nearby prisoners. Already he could hear the next prisoner begin to groan. "Oh shut up!" he shouted, "They're not going to release you because you groan! And besides," he added his grin spreading across his face,"What have you got to complain about? A roof over your head, meals everyday and an endless supply of soldiers to annoy and amuse you!" he finished. The groaning soon stopped, but moments later continued on, slightly lower than before.

Raen shook his head and continued to chew his weed. Suddenly he heard shouting at the end of the passageway. He stood up and grinned, a new prisoner had arrived and with any luck he might have a cellmate soon.....

Aidem struggled at the wrenching grip that the guard had on his shoulders. His hands had been securly, and most uncomfortably bound behind him, the cord slicing into the flesh on his wrists. Consequently, it was thought that only one guard was needed to escort him to his cell. That's one mistake they'll never make again, he thought devilishly. Aidem stumbled and thrashed, as he hollered curses, forcing the guard to put all his weight into pushing the prisoner down the hall. The prisoner snorted at the soldier's feeble attempts to keep him under control. 'Come now, you must present me with more sport than this,' Aidem snorted in disbelief. He smirked as he noticed how his pungent threats and names unnerved the guard. 'Aww... a little concerned, now are we?' he asked acerbicly. Aidem grinned as he suddenly dug his heels in and swung his shoulders around so his back was facing the wall. Acting swiftly, he slammed himself backwards, pinning the guard between himself and the hard cement. Aidem quickly found a sharp edge on the soldier's armor and snapped himself free of the cords that held his wrists. He thought for a moment, and wasn't able to resist pivoting rapidly to firmly strike the soldier in the face with his fist.
Aidem sprinted down the passageway, laughing wildly, but wasn't far when another soldier appeared out of an intersecting corridor. Aidem fled past the opening as quickly as he could, but the soldier was faster. A tremendous weight crashed into Aidem and he winced as his head hit the hard cement floor. He felt rivulets of blood run down his face, and plaster his hair to his head, as the entangled pair skidded to a stop, some distance down the passage.
The guard hauled Aidem to his feet before hastily delivering a blow to the side of the prisoner's head. The dreary hallway swam a little as Aidem was, once more, thrust down the corridor.
Regaining his bearings, Aidem began to resist the soldier once more. He delivered several kicks to the guard's shins, which were, foolishly, ungreaved. The soldier was thoroughly frustrated when he yanked Aidem's arms so far behind his back, that, if the prisoner were to try to move them,they would be dislocated. Utterly disgusted at the turn of events, Aidem contented himself with growling and cursing the guard loudly.
Recapturing his determination, Aidem began to try his wicked little tricks as the guard quickly opened a cell door. He resumed his leg kicking and flailing, before the guard wrenched his arm into an agonizing position and flung him into the cell.
A sharp exhalation was brought from Aidem as he smashed into the wall, opposite the cell door. He regained his breath as he stumbled towards the gate to holler more curses after the soldier. Aidem stopped grudgingly, as the soldier was far out of sight.
Not bothering to wipe the blood from his face, Aidem slid down the wall to a sitting position on the cold floor. staring intently at the incisions on his wrists, he snickered to himself. This had almost lost it's entertainment last time he tried it.... almost....
Aidem calmed himself, and his bright green eyes surveyed the dark room around him. There wasn't much to see. Cold, wet stone, just like all the other cells he had escaped. For the first time, Aidem noticed a scarcely defined shadow, standing on the reverse side of the cell. So, a cellmate.... he thought, incredulously.

(amazing post Vende! )

The comotion continued outside as it was clear that the soldiers were having terrible problems with their new prisoner. Raen could hear shouting in the passage as he guessed the prisoner had escaped. He grinned, as he listened to the uproar. This prisoner seemed to be quite a handful, just the kind of person Raen found most amusing.

After a while, the shouting ceased and only the sound of the prisoners curses could be heard. Moments later Raen's cell door opened and the prisoner was thrust inside, smashing against the wall before quickly returning to the door. Raen watched the man from the shadows, his eyes lit up with curiousity as the man sat down on the ground. He could see that his new cellmate was wounded on his head and the blood stained his face.

"Greetings! I do believe at last I have a cellmate! A, troublesome one at that too....... just the kind of person I can relate to! So stranger - what have they thrown you in here for?"

Raen stepped out of the shadows and grinned at the man, his black eyes glittering dangerously. Sitting down opposite the man he introduced himself, "My name is Raen! And who might you be?"

He settled himself comfortably and studied the man while he awaited his answer. He could see that he was young, probably slightly younger than himself, he had black hair with a slight reddish tinge to it and green eyes. Raen found him throughly intriguing. He could hear the sound of the jailer not far off and sighed. He expected that he would be introuble over the soldier he had injured earlier. He would come presently, as soon as he had finished his rounds.

((sorry for being so late in joining, I hope this post is all right.))

Karay walked down the dark, damp halls of the prison, humming to herself as if she were here on cheerful buisness besides the fact that a dagger was being tossed up and down in her hand. So far she had made it past all the gaurds quite easily, charm and maybe a little bit of force was all that was needed. She chuckled as she pulled the ring of keys from her pocket, swinging them around her finger.

She reached the cell which was her destination. Against the wall she saw a slumped figure, her half brother Kaen. His dark head lifted to show chocolate colored eyes, much like her own. "It's about time you came." "Well I can't do everything in the time you expect it to be done, I am still deciding whether or not I should let you free."

"Now now dear sister, you wouldn't keep your poor brother in this cell with no one to speak with would you?"Came his reply in a sorrowful tone. "Hmm I'll have to think about that, how many times have you left me in prison...quite a few Kaen. I believe that answers your question perfectly. Since I went through the trouble of getting these keys perhaps I'll let someone else out, some one worth it."

She continued her stroll down the halls, swinging the keys as her brother sighed knowing he didn't have to much longer in jail, he knew better then to mess with his sister.

((( Thanks, that's what tends to happen when I drink Vanilla Coke then post at 10 or 11 at night.... :dizzy: )))

Glancing up, Aidem saw a black haired man, who's dark eyes glittered with curiosity, emerge from the shadows. By his looks, the man, who called himself Raen, was slightly older than him. Aidem listened, nonchalantly, as Raen inquired who he was and for what he had been thrown in prison for. 'Eh,' Aidem shrugged, 'hard to tell, really. Debt, theft, resisting arrest, dealing out too many broken noses and stab wounds, I suppose.' He stood, grinning. Then he scowled slightly, thinking of his daggers and knives that had been wrested from him upon his arrest. And it was an arduous task, getting those weapons off those nobles. I was almost forced to kill them, he thought grudgingly. Coming out of his own thoughts, he realized that Raen was still awaiting an answer. 'As for who I am,' he paused, 'I am widely and commonly known as thief. My closer aquaintences often refer to me as bastard, and those who know me too well, call me Aidem.' 'And I'm not planning on staying.' A wolfish smile spread across Aidem's face and his green eyes flashed perilously.
'Troublesome? To say the least. How kind of you to put it mildly,' Aidem said dryly. 'And what can I expect for at least drawing blood from one guard and bruising another's shins? You seem to have been here longer than I, and you appear the type of person to have your fun with the soldiers.'
Not waiting for a reply, he leaned against the cold wall and looked at Raen. 'And what're you in for?' he asked, not really listening for an answer. Aidem pushed his hair out of his face and idly fingered the lesions on his wrists.
Footsteps echoed, as far as Aidem could judge, some way down the dark corridor. He supposed it was the jailer, making his rounds, and he surreptitiously moved further back into the shadows of the cell.

(((Please pardon my use of the naughty word.... :X I couldn't think of any other way to put it!!! Eh... forgive me!!!)))

Pulling a bag of gold down, Levi opened it and pulled out some coins.
"Well of course fair lady I shall buy one of your red apples! Who could resist if the request comes from such a beautiful lady!" he charmed, smiling at her. He handed her the money and gave her a few extra gold coins. He accepted her apple in return.
“Thank you kind Sir,” Aireon responded with a sweet smile, “How could someone not accept the money of such a generous gentleman such as yourself.” She had been flattered by his charming talk, even though she had been before a light pinkness rose to her fair cheeks.

"May I inquire as to what your name may be?" Levi asked her, using the best manners he could pull together. His black eyes glittered warmly as he awaited her response.

“My name is Aireon,” she answered simply. Looking the man over curiously to who he was, wondering if she knew him at all, she found at mysteriousness deep with in his black eyes glittering with warmth yet a hint of danger and a wildness about him sparked in the core of his gaze. The dark haired man did not scare her in the least bit, for only intrigued her more, “May I ask of your name Sir?” Aireon questioned, her bright blue eyes sparkling with interest.

(brilliant post Sillende!! Perfect place for you to come in! lol Vende - I know what you mean bout the vanilla coke! Oh an don't worry bout that - there's no other word you can use really! )

'Eh,' the man shrugged, 'hard to tell, really. Debt, theft, resisting arrest, dealing out too many broken noses and stab wounds, I suppose.'

Raen nodded, none of these crimes unfamiliar to him. He watched the man inquisitively as he stood up grinning.

'As for who I am,' he paused, 'I am widely and commonly known as thief. My closer aquaintences often refer to me as bastard, and those who know me too well, call me Aidem. And I'm not planning on staying.'

Raen grinned back at Aidem. He liked his personality already. "Pleased to meet you Aidem! Well if you don't plan to stay then perhaps you would like to join me in escaping?" he asked, before sighing, "So far they have predicted me and managed to keep me here!" A smirk spread across Raen's face as he added, "But not before I landed a few of their soldiers in the healers!"

'And what can I expect for at least drawing blood from one guard and bruising another's shins? You seem to have been here longer than I, and you appear the type of person to have your fun with the soldiers.'

"Indeed I do! Why this place wouldn't be half as amusing as it is without them! But I expect that I won't be the only one who will be in trouble later for injuring soldiers judging by what you tell me and what I heard as you arrived!"

'And what're you in for?' Aidem asked him.

Raen shrugged slightly and responded casually, "Oh the usual - assassination."

Silence resumed in the cell once more, enabling Raen to hear the groaning prisoner next door yet again. "Oh shut up!" he yelled, "You're lucky I'm not in that cell with you or you wouldn't have a throat to moan with!"

The footsteps grew louder and the sound of keys could be heard. Raen knew that they would soon be at their cell. Seeing Aidem move back into the shadows he quickly stood up and spoke to him. "Well, shall we leave as soon as he comes?" he questioned wickedly, drawing out the same small dagger he had used on the soldier earlier which he kept too well hidden for even the soldiers to find. He knew that there was a better chance of escaping if there was two of them. He stood at the door, prepared if their door should open next....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“How could someone not accept the money of such a generous gentleman such as yourself.” the lady replied.
Levi laughed inwardly as he thought of himself as generous. Well he supposed he could be fairly generous, when it came to certain things...
“My name is Aireon,” she answered simply. Levi noticed her looking him over as she replied. He grinned and took her hand, kissing it, "Well I am delighted to meet you Lady Aireon!" He could see her cheeks blushing slightly.
“May I ask of your name Sir?” Aireon asked him. He could see her blue eyes sparkling with interest. Levi merely broadened his grin, wondering what she could judge from his eyes and replied, "My name is Levi."
Shifting the bags of gold on his shoulder slightly he asked,
"So where does such a pretty maiden as yourself come from then?"
Her steps halted as she reached a heavy metal cell door. She tilted her head to the side staring at it for a moment. Should she speak with the prisoners inside or catch them off gaurd. She lked a challenge so taking out a dagger with her left hand, she found the key to unlock the door and swung it open.
Her blade immediately met with that of a smaller blade. She smiled slightly,"Now you wouldn't hurt a young maiden with a kind enough heart to set you free now would you." The man pulled back slightly, showing an only slightly startle look to see a woman in place of the normal gaurd.
Her eyes flicked to another in the shadows to get closer. She took step back to get a better look at the man before her, her dagger held loosely in her hand though ready to strike with it if needed. "Well by the way you almost killed me I'm guessing you to wish for an escape. It won't work if you plan on killing all the gaurds through this whole place. Word spreads quickly, you'll be caught with in minutes.
She glance moved to the other so she could still keep a good watch on him. "Now I need a little excitement, this city gets awfully boring so what do you say to me helping you escape?"
Looking around the boring cell, Aidem listened to Raen's response. He jerked his head back to the man when he casually mentioned being an assassin. Deciding to dismiss the topic, Aidem smirked as he hollered at the prisoner next door.
Aidem's wicked grin remained on his face while the other talked of escape. 'Indeed, we shall,' he replied, as Raen drew out a dagger.
Their door opened and a sliver of light was thrown across the cell. Aidem heard the slight clash of metal on metal and he prepared for a fight. He mentally went over the different ways he knew to kill or seriously injure a man, using just your hands.
'Now you wouldn't hurt a young maiden with a kind enough heart to set you free now would you,' said a woman's voice. Aidem narrowed his eyes suspiciously, almost dissappointed that it hadn't come to blows.
'Well, by the way you almost killed me I'm guessing you to wish for an escape. It won't work if you plan on killing all the guards in this whole place. Word spreads quickly, you'll be caught within minutes,' the maiden said.
Aidem snorted. 'I can take care of myself fine, thank you,' he said acerbicly.
'Now I need a little excitement, this city gets awful boring so what do you say to me helping you escape?'
'Oh, so now we're here to entertain you?' he asked, stepping out of the shadows. Aidem's bright eyes flashed as he surveyed the newcomer. She was slender of build and had bronze yellow hair. Her eyes were of dark brown, but they glittered gold in the light.
Leaning back against the wall, Aidem folded his arms across his chest. He raised his eyebrows at the woman and asked leerily 'Now why would you want to free a theif and,' he paused, knowing he probably shouldn't reveal the fact that Raen was an assassin, 'a murderer?' he finished. 'Besides for amusement, of course,' Aidem, added, his voice dripping with mordancy.
((Thanx for letting me join! We'll meet you all later!
A cool breeze brushed the tops of the long, dry grass, making it look like a sea with troubled grey waters. All was quiet. One could hear a falcon screaming in the sky – so high that only a keen-sighted elf could tell for sure that it was indeed a falcon. Time after time mice squeaks were heard, warning each other from the flying and the crawling danger. And then it went quiet again. As if all the nature was preparing to go to rest along with the sunset. Clouds were colored in purples and goldens, the large irradiant Sun was slowly setting in the peaceful sea of the beautiful plains of Rohan. It seemed that no one could withstand such beauty of nature without a gasp of excitement.
Rovan’s dark grey eyes watched the living picture indifferently. He steadied his horse and dismounted: the poor beast needed some rest. They had been traveling all day long. The horse sniffed happily at the smell of a small square of a still green and juicy grass. As the animal ate, Rovan sat down on the ground. He felt his heart tremble in a funny way, as it hadn’t done in several years. This was the place where he had grown up, he would never confuse it with another. Full of memories it was, memories that perturbed his emotions in a way he didn’t like it. A long time ago he would have, but now… Now all he wished for was icy peace, and revenge.
The young man’s eyes turned left, where he had fallen from a horse for the first time. The first and the only time. This was one of the most important lessons his neighbor Emmon, the horsekeeper, had given him: your life depends on your ability to stay on the back of your horse. Rovan’s sight followed the faint line of small bushes to his right, where he had first kissed Faldin, his future wife…
Stop! Don’t think of her!
This hurt, as much as he had feared. And even more than he had expected. Rovan took a deep breath. He had to get over it, had to calm down. He would never be able to revenge her in anger.
Something caught his eye. Something in the bushes. That little something didn’t belong there, but Rovan still couldn’t tell what it was. It was growing darker, as the Sun was setting. Rovan got up.
The horse lifted his head and looked at his master, as if asking: Do we have to go yet?
Rovan patted the beasts neck.
- Stay. Easy.
The animal calmed down and put its muzzle again in the grass. Rovan quickly glanced around and swiftly crossed the distance that separated him and the bushes. He moved like a big cat, his every movement was marked by withheld strength, grace and danger. He lurked closer, and suddenly his attention was caught by the ground. Something had happened here. A fight! No, something else. In the fading light Rovan fixed his eyes on the ground. A group of people had been traveling here, some riding horses, some walking… No, not people, elves. The horses had left much clearer imprints than the feet of the walking. They had been traveling in peace, until something happened that made them run. Rovan followed their tracks until they were crossed by another, much clearer. Many heavy legs that went crashing everything on their way. Orcs! Rovan felt his heart jump and heat rising to his cheeks. The orcs had chased the elves, over the small hill… Rovan suddenly stopped as he reached the top of the hill.
Down there, the valley was covered with bodies.
We still remember, we who dwell In this far land, beneath the trees The starlight on the Western seas...
(hey Nifredil incredible post!!)
'Indeed, we shall,' Aidem replied.
Raen grinned wickedly back and nodded. The footsteps drew near and stopped outside their cell. Moments later they heard the grating sound of the key turning in the lock. The door swung open and Raen quickly darted forward as his blade instantly met another larger one. He looked up in surprise to find a maiden standing there instead of a soldier or the jailer. Raen raised his eyebrows in surprise and pulled back, slightly startled.
"Now you wouldn't hurt a young maiden with a kind enough heart to set you free now would you." he heard the maiden say.
He watched her closely without saying a word as she took a step back. Raen could see from the way she held her dagger loosely yet ready to strike if needed that she was experienced fighter and most likely lived a similar lifestyle to themselves. Looking her over he could see that she was a beautiful maiden aswell as clever, her hair was bronze golden colour and her eyes chocolate brown.
"Well by the way you almost killed me I'm guessing you to wish for an escape. It won't work if you plan on killing all the gaurds through this whole place. Word spreads quickly, you'll be caught with in minutes."
Raen flicked his dagger back and hid it once more knowing that she was of no harm to them and to show that he was no threat. He grinned dangerously, his black eyes glittering with treachery as he replied,
"Well prehaps we can't kill them all but I intend on having my fair share of amusement!" he paused, knowing that she was right in what she told them and he had no intention of being thrown back in the cell as soon as he set foot outside it, "So what do you suggest we do then?"
'I can take care of myself fine, thank you,' he heard Aidem say harsly behind him. Turning to Aidem he replied teasingly,"Now now Aidem, be nice! I'm sure she wasn't implying that you can't!"
Raen was fascinated that someone who they didn't even know was aiding them in their escape. He stepped forward towards her, eager to leave and return to his usual antics. Then he heard her speak,
"Now I need a little excitement, this city gets awfully boring so what do you say to me helping you escape?"
Raen opened his mouth to reply, when he heard Aidem speak up again behind him,'Oh, so now we're here to entertain you?' he asked.
'Now why would you want to free a theif and,' he paused,'a murderer?' Raen noticed Aidem's pause when he decided what to call him. He grinned shadily at the maiden waiting for her response to Aidem.
'Besides for amusement, of course,' he heard Aidem finish astringently.
He leant against the wall, totally amused by Aidem and the maiden and shook his head. He knew they didn't have too much time to stand around and have idle conversation so he quickly interrupted them,
"Well hate to put and end to our lovely chat but we can't afford to linger here too long or we might end up with another cellmate and no chance of escape whatsoever! I am interested as to why someone wants to set the likes of us free besides from the goodness of their heart, but I can wait for an answer when we are out of here! And I have to agree with her, Aidem, this city has become so dull recently with no form of excitement at all so I shall gladly let anyone join in with me if they would like a diversion from whatever they have been doing!" he paused before looking at the maiden again, "I thank you greatly for setting us free! You don't know how much it means to me! And indeed you may accompany us in escaping! I'm sure Aidem won't mind - will you?" he turned to look at him, before continuing,"But before we go - what is your name? Anyone who is a beautiful as you I'm sure has a name to match!" he bowed and winked at her.
A small traveller looked fondly at the gates of Minas Tirith as she rode through them. It had been many months since she had been home. Her friends and companions were travelling west, and she had taken the opportunity to rest. She rode up to a large house and got off her horse, banging on the gate.
"Who is it?" a rough voice asked.
"The only girl who would dare come here with you on watch, Bornin. Let me in!" The gate swung open, and Bornin looked joyfully at the petite girl before him, her dark hair waving gently to her shoulders.
"Why, by the Valar! Lady Sila, you're back." Bornin grabbed the horse's reins and hustled the rider into the courtyard. "Your father will be right glad to see you, miss, what with you being away for so long." Sila smiled widely.
"Is he home? Please say he is!"
"No, Lady Sila, I'm afraid not. He's at a counsel in Dol Amroth. Won't be back for a day or so, but you can wait for him."
"Yes, I suppose." Sila sighed wistfully, tucking her hair behind her ears. "I'm going to go socialize, Bornin. I'll be back later."
"Be careful, miss!"
Sila wandered the streets of the city until she came upon a pub much like one she'd seen before. She smiled at the memory. That pub had been where she was once arrested for her own kidnapping shortly after she had run away from her home. Laughing to herself, Sila opened the door of the pub and went in.
She raised an eyebrow but then her the corners of her lips twitched into a small smile,"Don't get to grateful. People like that can irritate me sometimes, but since you're a handsome one I'll let it slide...the name is Karay."
Karay moved ahead of the two men, knowing that the guards would immediately jump to try and capture the two prisoners behind her if they saw one of them coming around a corner. In fact it wasn't long in their walk down the halls that a guard stood at the end, near the door which led up and to the exit.
The woman thief was surprised she hadn't seen to many guards, either they knew something was going on and were waiting for something or they were being lazy as she often found they were. Most of the gaurds they had passed easily she had allowed Aidem as she had heard one was called and the other take of them in a way they wished though she often distracted the gaurd for them.
She turned to her two aquaintences,"So do you wish to have some more blood on your hands or go on with out spilling a drop and escape even quicker?"
Rolling his eyes at Raen's question of whether or not he would mind having the maiden along, Aidem moved back into the dim light. 'Of course not. I delight in company, especially that of women.' A wolfish grin spread across Aidem's face and he almost went into hysterics over the look of contempt that crossed the maiden's face.
Aidem couldn't help but snort at the absurdity of Raen calling Karay beautiful. Eyes twinkling, he snickered in amusement as the woman, who called herself Karay, referred to Raen as 'handsome'. 'Oh, so you're a ladies' man, are you?' Aidem asked Raen in a low voice. He turned his head as Karay walked out of the cell.
They moved stealthily down the dim corridor, confronting few soldiers. Karay turned to them and asked 'So do you wish to have some more blood on your hands or go on without spilling a drop and escape even quicker?' The devilish smirk returned to Aidem's face. 'Why, my lady, whatever you think is best. Just know that I love a good fight.'
"Don't get to grateful. People like that can irritate me sometimes, but since you're a handsome one I'll let it slide...the name is Karay."
Raen smirked and nodded knowing that his charm did not work on her in the slightest. Karay turned and walked out of the cell, Raen and Aidem following closely behind.
'Oh, so you're a ladies' man, are you?' Aidem asked Raen in a low voice. Raen grinned and looked at him,
"Why of course I am! I find that you get nearly everything you want from a lady - even escaping from the prison!" Dropping his voice quietly he added, "In my profession, you'll find it's easier to get close to your prey if they have a daughter. So you see, I use my charm with any maiden I happen to come across, except some," he motioned to Karay ahead of them, " are too clever!"
They continued on passing few guards, Raen and Aidem getting past them their way while Karay distracted others for them. Raen grinned wickedly, thrilled to be back at his old habits as he wiped his bloody dagger in the shirt of a soldier, whom he had left lying on the ground.
'So do you wish to have some more blood on your hands or go on without spilling a drop and escape even quicker?'
'Why, my lady, whatever you think is best. Just know that I love a good fight.' Aidem replied.
Raen shrugged, "I will go with whatever you choose - it is no bother to me. Although if we should take the quicker route, we shall be free sooner and I cannot remember the last time I have been able to celebrate! After all..... there are plenty of guards outside." he replied offhandedly.
As Levi stood in the street talking to Aireon, he suddenly noticed a black raven flying towards him. Recognising it Levi growled under his breath, Not now Asgar! Ignoring the bird he turned back to Aireon once more.
Seconds later he felt a sharp blow to his head. Scowling he waved the bird away. However it returned and began to attack him. Reaching for one of his daggers, Levi thought better of it and left it hidden under his cloak. He turned back to Aireon and spoke again,
"I am most terribly sorry, but something important must be attended to and I'm afraid it cannot wait! I thank you again for your delicious apple and I hope to meet you another time very soon! Prehaps if you are selling some more apples tomorrow I shall come back here!" he kissed her hand again and bowed before returning the way he came.
Levi stormed back through Asgar's door and slammed it behind him nearly knocking it off its hinges. Flinging his dagger angrily across the room he knocked Asgar's wine out of his hand as the dagger embedded itself into his arm. Asgar yelped in pain and pulled the dagger out before quickly clasping his hand over the wound. "What was that for?!" he demanded furiously
"What do want?!" Levi growled, ignoring Asgar's question.
"Well you said that you wanted something to do so I have something for you!" he retorted, while he hunted around his desk for something to use as a bandage.
"Yes but I have not even been gone a full morning yet! I was busy and you have the nerve to call me back again before the day is even out! I am not your slave Asgar - you don't control me! I can get along perfectly well without you, so don't even begin to think that you can call me whenever you please! And if that wretched bird attacks me again I shall take out its other eye like I did with the first one!" Levi shouted, his eyes flashing angrily.
Asgar glowered at him and pulled up six large bags of gold before him. "Please leave my bird alone - I do not need you to injure it more than you already did! I know you are not my slave, however if you are not willing to come when I call you then I shall have to give these offers to someone else." he answered. Levi calmed down and sat opposite him, a bored look on his face. Asgar tied his bandage and continued, "I have just recieved some interesting news. Lady Silamiren has returned to Gondor. Now I'm not going to spend hours discussing this - I want you to kidnap her for me. Her father loves his daughter dearly and will pay a high ransom for her!"
Levi sighed and frowned at Asgar. "Well I don't know now. I already have quite a bit of money here myself so I don't really need anymore at the moment."
"Ah yes but eventually.... very soon knowing you - that money will run out and if you are always turning down offers when you get them, then people will stop offering you! And I'm sure we can arrange to give you something as well as the money on top of it if you wish!"
Levi grinned and nodded, "Well now that you put it that way I guess I will! Alright then I shall track her down soon enough!"
"Make sure it is soon - I want her safetly out of sight before her father returns to Gondor! That gives you roughly twenty four hours or a bit more. I know you enjoy a challenge so it won't be too much trouble!"
"Indeed this shall keep me occupied. So any ideas as to her whereabouts? Is she out in the city or at home?"
"I'm not giving this to you on a plate Levi! Go find her yourself!"
"Fine I will! I shall return once I have her!" Levi finished, a fiendish grin on his face.
"I'll have some wine, Barkeep!" Sila shouted over the noise of the common room. The barkeep nodded and set a mug in front of her, the dark red liquid sloshing over the sides. Sila grabbed a small loaf of bread off of an unattended plate and went over to a small table in the back of the room. She sat quietly and listened to the stories being told by a large sailor that sat nearby. Aidon was his name, and Sila was fond of him. He was large and strong, but very gentle, really. She sat back and closed her eyes, listening to the stories she had heard time and time again.
Levi sauntered out onto the street. Deciding to hise his gold before he did anything, he made his way across the city and stopped outside a crumbled, derelict old building. Climbing up onto the roof he carefully crossed the rotted roof before stopping and lifting away some tiles to reveal a hidden space. Depositing his gold, he replaced the tiles before jumping back down to the ground.
As he walked down the street, Levi decided that he would have a drink before he set out to find Lady Silamiren. Spotting a nearby inn he walked over to it. Pulling his cloak around him, he drew up his hood making it impossible to see anything but his dangerous black eyes. He pushed open the door and ambled over to the bar.
As he drank his ale he scanned around the room and looked around him. Suddenly he spotted a figure sitting in the corner and he nearly dropped his ale in surprise. Sitting in the corner was Lady Silamiren. Grinning he drained his ale before making his way over to her. When he reached her, he bowed before speaking,
"Lady Silamiren how fortunate it is that I have found you! I have been sent out in search of you to tell you that you are to return home immediately as you are in grave danger! You are to come with me as I shall escort you and keep you safe from harm!"
He looked up at her from under his hood as he awaited her response. He couldn't believe his luck and the sooner he had her outside the inn the better..........
Rovan dropped to the ground, suspiciously examining the surroundings. No living creature was to be seen. He lay there for some time, just to make sure that nobody had seen him. There was no sound, no movement apart from those of the few animals that inhabited this land.
Carefully, Rovan began to crawl down into the valley. It was pretty dark already, but he stilll could make his way. Soon the Moon rose casting light over the valley of death. Rovan moved now much balder, as there seemed to be no one around. He soon reached the first victim. It was an elf. His hair shone silvery-golden in the moonlight, his blue eyes open, but lifeless, his beautiful elvish face still and peaceful, his hands still holding his sword, black with orcblood. There were three orcs lying at his side, all fallen from his hand. Rovan stared at the fallen elf thoughtfully. He wandered how old he was, what had he seen in his long life, whether he had loved anybody... He hadn't met any elf yet and felt sorry to have met the first one alredy dead. Rovan reached out and closed the elf's eyes, feeling surprised for his own action. He shrugged as if ashamed of himself, then continued his way. He heard his heart beating loudly in his ears, blood racing in his veins. He checked closely every orc that lay in the valley, looking for the one...
It took him several hours moving from one dead body to another, until he finally finished. There was no survivor. It looked like the orcs had won the battle, for there was a still wide track leading away from the valley. Had they killed the wounded of their own kin, too? It was so like orcs. So, the one-handed orc might be still alive. Good.
Roven looked at the dead. Eleven elves and thirty four orcs. It must have been a terrible fight! Just imagining the large army of the orcs...
Now wait a minute. What could be they doing in such a large number in Rohan? Rovan decided to track them down and find it out. He turned and headed for his horse. On his way he remembered what had caught his attention first and turned towards the bushes. There lay something, something Rovan just couldn't figure out. He turned the "thing" in his hands over and over... At least it didn't look dangerous. One thing he could tell definitely was that it had belonged to elves. He whistled loudly. A neigh answered him, and soon his horse stopped in front of Rovan.
"Well, Anto, what do you think of this?"
The horse reached with it's muzzle towards the "something" and smelled it. Then moved it's ears as if saying: I have no idea, but it doesn't seem dangerous.
"I bet it's not tasty, too."
Could it be worth something? It was made of wood and silver... Rovan decided to keep it. Who knows... He thought about the weapons of the elves. Good blades. Orcs hadn't touched them, not surprisingly.
A sound of horse hooves startled him. A rider?
"Down!" he whispered in Anto's ear and pressed lightly on the horse's back. The beast obediently kneeled down, along with Rovan. He grabbed the hold of his sword.
A wind blew through any tree in sight as a steady beat filled the air, the beat of a horse who had travelled far. Cantering with great agility.
These hooves were heading into Minas Tirith to rest for a while. As they approached the elvish ears heard people talking, discussing the latest news whether good or bad.
They passed through the strong up right gates of Minas Tiith. He smiled. He hadn't been here for quite an age.
Evethire patted his slightly hot horse's neck as he whinied to see other horses waiting patiently.
"I hope you are not going to cause trouble Blethian." he said quietly.
As he passed he saw a small pub. It lookes a nice place to stophe thought to himself.
Dismounting outside he looked at his horse with a frown"You be good Boy"
Then he proceeded in. His eye spotted a small corner in which a table was. He went over not trying to attract attension.
As he sat looking around at the scene of merry people he wondered to himself would any follow a elf on a journey of wits...
Sila was startled when a man sat next to her, and almost dropped her ale when she saw inside the hood. It shadowed his face well, but she could pick out the features that she recognized.
"Raen, what are you doing here? Bronan sent you?" Sila asked him with wide eyes. He nodded, and she followed him out of the pub, her heart pounding. They had gone down the street a little ways when she spoke again. "Raen did he tell you what was wrong? Is it my father?" her guide said nothing, and Sila grabbed his wrist and turned him around. "Raen, answer me! What's wrong?"
(hey everyone I'm back! :love: I missed you all!)
"Raen, what are you doing here? Bronan sent you?"
Levi raised his eyebrows slightly under his hood. He glanced over at her seeing the wide eyed look she gave him. What did she call him? Figuring that she thought she knew him, Levi decided to go along with it. Lady Silamiren seemed to trust whoever this Raen was and so he wasn't about to spoil his chances, besides he now knew the name of the guard he presumed, of their house. It made matters even easier.
Turning his head towards her he nodded briskly before quickly crossing the busy room towards the door, before she could ask him anything else. He checked that she was following him and reached the door. Flipping a coin at the bartender so as he wouldn't be followed to pay for his drink, he opened the door and let Lady Silamiren walk through before following her and slamming it roughly behind him. The door creaked loudly in protest as its rusty hinges came slightly loose from the wall.
Levi quickened his pace and led her further away from the inn and onto the streets. He looked back every so often to ensure that she was still following him. As he continued to lead her away, he heard her hurry to catch up with him and start asking him questions.
"Raen did he tell you what was wrong? Is it my father?"
Levi remained silent and ignored her questions, turning down another street and looking ahead of him instead. He knew that he need not worry if she would follow him, as he could cleary see that Lady Silamiren was concerned about her father. Soon it will be your father who is concerned about you... he thought to himself, a nefarious grin on his face.
Suddenly he felt her grab his wrist. He spun around to face her, his perilous black eyes glaring treacherously and yanked his hand free, reaching for his dagger as she spoke anxiously to him,
"Raen, answer me! What's wrong?"
Softening his glare and tone he left his dagger where it was before replying smoothly, his voice full of amusement and scorn, "Why my lady nothing is wrong ..... only that you have walked yourself straight into a trap!"
Lunging forward he grabbed her as she started to back away from him. Whipping out his dagger he quickly shoved it against her throat and covered her mouth with the other hand before she could scream. He glanced around him before dragging her down a deserted alleyway. He skillfully gagged her and bound her wrists behind her back. He tightened his grip on his dagger once more and pressed it firmly against her throat as she began to struggle and kick him wildy.
"I wouldn't anger me if I were you! One more kick and I shall shove this dagger right through your pretty throat!" he whispered slying into her ear, "Now I don't think we can just walk down the street can we? So, lets us take the scenic route!" he laughed before picking her up.
Climbing up a wall he made his way up a building, Lady Silamiren in his arms as he reached the roof. Once he was on top, he rapidly made his way across the city, over the rooftops of the buildings until he reached the same ruined one where he had hidden his gold. He lowered Lady Silamiren down through a hole before jumping down beside her.
Grabbing her, he moved towards a faded carpet and kicked it aside to reveal a trapdoor. Opening it, the light came through and exposed an old staircase that led under the ground. He pushed her down it and unlocked a thick door before shoving her inside a small, windowless room. Locking the door behind him once more, Levi lit a candle before sitting himself down on a chair. "Well you might as well make yourself comfortable in your new home Lady Silamiren!" he mocked.
Levi pulled his hood back and removed his cloak throwing it in a corner. Walking over to her he unbound her wrists and removed her gag. "You can make as much noise as you wish down here but no one will hear you so I suggest you dont even try!"
He took down two glasses and a bottle of wine he had and poured it out. Handing her a glass, he drained his own and watched her closely. "So who is this 'Raen' then?" he began.
He came swiftly out the door of the weaponry shop, into the mid-day sun. Standing tall and slender on the gray stony street corner he gazed at the new bow in his hand. He could tell it was made by someone with much skill by its smooth curve, and hung it carefully on his back. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice and recognized its soft melodic tone right away. Ëorlas’s deep piercing blue eyes searched for her. As he rounded the street corner a light smile spread on his face.
“Aireon,” he whispered to himself.
He walked toward her casually hoping she wouldn’t take notice just yet.
“Apples..Apples!” she said in her sweet voice.
He came up to her from behind.
“Is there some kind of exception for friends?” he asked, looking down at his old friend, and smiling with happiness.
"Why of course I am! I find that you get nearly everything you want from a lady - even escaping from the prison!" Dropping his voice quietly Raen added, "In my profession, you'll find it's easier to get close to your prey if they have a daughter. So you see, I use my charm with any maiden I happen to come across, except some," he motioned to Karay ahead of them, " are too clever!" Listening to Raen's reply, Aidem watched as Karay turned a corner ahead of them.
He grinned and spoke quietly. 'Aye, those clever ones, they're trouble. Then again, I never had much charm to get by on, so I just go with my aluring appearance. After all, I've never met a maiden who can resist when I flash a grin. My luck pretty much ends as soon as they speak to me, though,' he fell silent, his eyes flashing brightly with amusment, as they began to approach more soldiers.
Although he wouldn't admit it to anyone but himself, and even then, grudgingly, Karay came in quite handy. She was adept at distracting the guards so Aidem or Raen could deal with them one way or another. Along the way, Aidem unscrupulously plucked several daggers off the dead or dehabilitated soldiers.
They paused and Raen bent to clean his dagger. Aidem honestly didn't care if there was blood on his weapon, but he didn't need any more evidence working against him. He knelt for a moment, wiping the weapon on the inside hem of his pants. No use getting caught as soon as I'm out.
As he straightened, Aidem heard Raen reply to Karay's inquiry, "I will go with whatever you choose - it is no bother to me. Although if we should take the quicker route, we shall be free sooner and I cannot remember the last time I have been able to celebrate! After all..... there are plenty of guards outside."
Laughing, Aidem agreed and smiled wolfishley, following the others.
Sila stood silently, glaring daggers at her kidnapper. What in the world possessed him? she thought incredulously.
"You can make as much noise as you wish down here but no one will hear you so I suggest you dont even try!" he said, handing her a glass of wine. "So who is this 'Raen' then?"
Sila frowned in confusion. Why was he asking her who he was?
"You should know." she answered curtly. "After all, you have been Raen for most of your life." The man's eyebrows went up in surprise, and Sila continued to give him a piece of her mind. "I should think that after all we went through, you would be past kidnapping me. I may not be Ari, heaven knows where she went, but I thought we were friends!" Sila threw the glass of wine to the ground, a pleasant feeling rushing through her as the glass shattered. "You may be an assassin and a troublemaker, Raen, but I never thought you would stoop to kidnapping a friend." Sila's shoulders slumped, her feelings of betrayal nearly overwhelming her.
Oh, Valar, what happened to him? she thought dejectedly.
People whispered in little packs garnished with sweet drinks.
A few eyes wondered over to him. He hastely put up his cloak hood. Smoke hovered over head making his image less strange.
He had come to talk to a few friends who he thought might help but come to think of it they might not be staying here anymore. Hope was the prospect right now in his head.
He hoped for many things...including the company of some.
A roaring laughter came from another corner than was not visable. His attension switched quickly. As he thought of the owner he realised thirst parched his dried throat. So with his cloak up he ordered a drink.
Some people entered, he knew them but It couldn't be he thought...
(brill post Rosie!! This is gonna be very funny!)
"You should know." she answered curtly. "After all, you have been Raen for most of your life."
Levi raised his eyebrows in surprise and looked at her, an odd expression on his face. However he remained slient, amused to what Lady Silamiren had to say.
"I should think that after all we went through, you would be past kidnapping me. I may not be Ari, heaven knows where she went, but I thought we were friends!"
Still Levi remained silent, completely mystified and puzzled as to what she was saying. He frowned slightly as she threw her glass of wine on the ground, the glass smashing and the wine staining the floor. However, she did not finish there,
"You may be an assassin and a troublemaker, Raen, but I never thought you would stoop to kidnapping a friend."
Levi shook his head in bewilderment at this sudden outburst. Sighing he thought to himself, Well clearly Asgar failed to mention that she was insane! He was surprised that she still continued to call him Raen although he had removed his cloak and exposed his face. Looking at her, his frown deepened as his brow furrowed. "You have bewildered me Lady Silamiren! I have never been called Raen therefore I do not see how I could have been Raen for most of my life!"
He paused momentarily before continuing, "And who is Ari? I'm afraid I have not had the pleasure of becoming your friend therefore I do not know what you are talking about! What exactly did we go through?"
Pouring himself another glass of wine, he hardened his tone slightly as he was clearly offended, "Never call me an assassain! There are too many assassains around and therefore it is a common profession, one which I never took up or ever will! As for a troublemaker - I suppose you can call me that although it is a bit mild!" he grinned wickedly, as he shrugged off the offence.
"And yes I have kidnapped you but I do not see that as stooping low! Especially when I recieve the ransom money from your father!" He was about to offer her some more wine, but he thought better of it and left the bottle where it was. Smirking at her he decided to see what else she would come out with. "So if you still insist on calling me someone I'm not, then please, do tell me more about myself! I'm throughly intruiged!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(hehe Raen returns!)

'Aye, those clever ones, they're trouble. Then again, I never had much charm to get by on, so I just go with my aluring appearance. After all, I've never met a maiden who can resist when I flash a grin. My luck pretty much ends as soon as they speak to me, though,'

Raen laughed, "Indeed they are trouble! Well I can think of a few maidens who wouldn't let your luck run dry when you speak to them!"

Soon they decided to take the shorter route out, following Karay as she led them. It did not take long and before they realised it they were already outside in the cool fresh air. Raen looked around him in delight and sighed contentedly. Looking back at Aidem and Karay, his eyes shone as he spoke enthusiastically to them,
"Freedom at last! Well I do believe we have a large group of soldiers ahead for us to take care of and then would you both care to join me in a drink and then maybe rousing some trouble around the city?" he inquired.

Not waiting for an answer, Raen immediatly began to walk briskly ahead in the shadows towards the group of soldiers.

Blinking as he stepped into the light, Aidem looked ahead to Raen.
'Freedom at last! Well, I do believe we have a large group of soldiers ahead for us to take care of and then would you both care to join me for a drink and maybe rousing some trouble around the city?' the assassin asked, casually.
'As long as you're buying,' Aidem grinned. 'What about you, Miss Karay? Wouldn't you like to accompany two so very striking gentlemen for a drink?' he asked in mock amiability. Not waiting for an answer, he saunterd over to stand next to Raen, his eyes flashing wickedly.
'Shall we, Master Raen?' Aidem inquired, gesturing for Raen to lead. The blades of Aidems daggers flashed in the sunlight as they crept surreptitiously up behind the soldiers.

(((Bleh... I'm short on words tonight, and I'm always a little hesitant to start a fight in someone else's roleplay. *shrugs* I know, it's weird, don't ask....)))

(( Sorry I haven't been able to post in while but volleyball practice has been getting in the way.))

Karay ahook her head and said sarcastically,"I can't imagine why."

Soon they decided to take the shorter route out, following Karay as she led them. It did not take long and before they realised it they were already outside in the cool fresh air. She walked just behind them, she had gone through that trouble of getting them out she might as well stick with thse "striking gentlemen" for a while longer. Her hands were ready to draw her daggers if needed.

'As long as you're buying,' Aidem grinned.

"You'll be lucky!" Raen smirked, giving Aidem a good-humoured shove while he spoke to Karay.

'What about you, Miss Karay? Wouldn't you like to accompany two so very striking gentlemen for a drink?'

"Of course she will! Why how could she resist us two eh?" Raen joked as he fidgeted about with excitement at his taste of freedom.

'Shall we, Master Raen?' Aidem inquired, gesturing for Raen to lead.

Raen grinned at him, his black eyes glittering and blazing. Flipping out his blade, he looked at it and sighed slightly,
"I really need to go about retrieving the rest of my daggers! Much as I love my little one, I feel almost naked without them" he shrugged, "But I have plenty of time for that later! Let's go!"

Raen pranced gleefully out of the shadows and instantly sank his knife into the back of the soldier in front of him. As soon as the soldier cried out and sank to the ground, Raen stopped and stood where he was. It wouldn't be any fun at all if they could catch all the soldiers off guard, he wanted a challenge. He did not have to wait long for soon a large group of soldiers surrounded him, Aidem and Karay. He grinned evilly and flipped his dagger in the air before catching it behind his back. This was more like it! He briefly looked back at the other two to see if they minded him landing them in a mess. Judging by Aidem's face he could see that he did not mind at all.

"Hey you! Aren't you supposed to be in prison?" a soldier shouted.

Raen shook his head at the stupidity of the guard. Did he really expect any convict to answer him honestly? Raen laughed at him, "Am I? I don't know!" looking back at Aidem he asked mischievously "Am I supposed to be in prison?" he paused before continuing, "Well just because I'm supposed to be somewhere doesn't mean that I will be there! After all, it gets very dull in there! You should go and stay in there yourself and see - there's absolutely no form of excitement whatsoever!"

"Well you're going straight back for twice as long for escaping and for killing a prison guard!"

Raen whistled, "Well I dread to think of how long I shall be there when you look inside! Besides, why am I getting all the blame? I'm not alone!" he jerked his head back to Aidem and Karay.

The guard whispered to another soldier to look inside while the surrounded them. The guard returned moments later and informed him that many of the passages were full of dead soldiers. The head soldier turned back to Raen.

"Well I am placing you under arrest for the murder of some prison guards! Please make your way towards the prison now!"

"Make me!"

"What did you say?!"

"I said make me you idiot!" Raen retorted coolly.

"Arrest them at once!" the guard ordered.

"And this is where the fun begins!" Raen murmered. Holding up his knife he prepared to fight. The soldiers all began to close in on them. Raen spun and kicked the nearest soldier squarely in the face before turning to deal with the next one.

Karay smirked, shook her head at Raen's quickness to fight, and went in her self. Her dagger stabbed into the back of one coming up behind Raen and she spun around to neatly kick another in the stomach causing him to fall to the ground out of breath. "You men love to fight to much,"she said to Raen.

"Well you were asking for excitement by setting us free m'lady,"Raen replied.

"Aye, you got me there master Raen. I suppose I do enjoy my blade being able to taste blood after a long time." She quickly turned behind her to bring her hand swinging, dagger held ready to slit the gaurd's throat. He fell and another came up behind him with a punch. He was a litt slower than the rest and Karay caught his wrist.

"Now sir, haven't you learned never to hit a lady." The man hesitated a bit then she brought her free hand balled into his to his temple knocking him out. "Now you know why."

(Sorry I have not posted for so long, school was a bit busy)

“Apples..Apples!” Aireon called, her sweet voice rising above the bustle of the eager crowd shopping for various items.
A tall young elf came up behind her.
“Is there some kind of exception for friends?” he asked, looking down at his old friend, and smiled with happiness.
Recognizing his elegant voice at once Aireon whirled around throwing her arms around him making sure not to drop any apples at the same time, “Eorlas!” she said joyfully recoiling her hug, with a slight smile, and bit her bottom lip, unsure if she should have hugged him or not.
“Of course, my friends are always willing for exceptions,” Aireon added with a smile handing him a delicious red apple. “How have you been of late?” she asked her bright blue eyes burning with anticipation.
As she gazed into Eorlas’ deep piercing blue eyes fond memories returned to her. The memory of their awkward meeting on the deck of the Aearthoniel, and of her twirling about in the golden sand for the first time. Her cherry red lips spread in a smile across her peace-blossom face. The memories of their adventuresome travel to Lothlorien, and Mirkwood were the greatest memories of all, and Aireon cast her bright eyes to the ground trying to hide the elation and rapture burning like fires. Turning her eyes back toward Eorlas she silently awaited his answer.

(Sorry as well for the shortness, I did not know what else to say. I am glad you have returned Arwen_Undomiel!!)

Aidem held back for a moment, as he saw Raen plunge his dagger into a soldier's back. Raen backed off, clearly waiting for a challenge from the startled, and naive soldiers. A few drew their blades, looking around warily. Aidem smirked and taunted them, daring the soldiers to come closer.
Soon, the three of them were surrounded, but Aidem did not much care. After a few moments, it became apparent that none of them were daring enough to attack. With a snort of exasperation, Aidem set his gaze on one of the soldiers and swiftly sprang forward, dropping to one knee and taking a slice at the man's shins. A sword blade whistled overhead as Aidem ducked behind the soldier, thrusting his foot out, and causing the man to stumble. Aidem quickly transferred the dagger in his right hand, to his left. He brought his elbow into the back of the guards head, and smirked appreciatively at the sickening crack it made.

A ludicrous shout of 'Hey you! Aren't you supposed to be in prison?' rang out. Straightening, Aidem heard Raen's sardonic retorts and delayed in attacking another soldier. He moved to closer to Karay and Raen, delaying an attack on another guard. The exchange of insults and threats between the assassin and the apparent commander of this group echoed as Aidem pivoted to face the half of soldiers opposite Raen.

'Arrest them at once!' the commander bellowed.

'And this is where the fun begins,' came Raen's devious voice.

Aidem tensed, fidgeting with his daggers, as the soldiers moved forward. Whipping his arm forward, Aidem felt one of the small knives leave his fingers, and saw it impale a soldier in the neck. He pivoted and quickly parried a cut to the head. Using his left forearm against the flat of the blade, Aidem pushed the sword away, and rapidly struck the guard in the side of the head with his fist.
Aidem retrieved his dagger from the first dead soldier and set about dealing with the next one.There weren't many left now, thanks to the combined work of the three, but Aidem knew that there would soon be more coming. Shouts echoed in the prison. Once help arrived, there would be no escaping. Vexed, Aidem swiftly kicked a soldier in the side, causing him to sink to his knees, gasping. The thief hauled the guard to his feet, only to deal out a blow to the man's face.

'Raen! We have more company!' Aidem shouted, gesturing to the open doors of the prison, as he sprinted over to the assassin. Raen let the last soldier slide to the ground as he glanced to the doors. 'If we don't flee now, we won't have a chance.' Without waiting for an answer, he sped down the street, hoping the others would follow.

(((I hope you don't mind that I ended the fight and had us retreat! Just trying to move the story along.)))

((Oh, we have just GOT to get Raen and Levi together so that Sila won't think she's going insane!!! this is awesome!))

"You're...you're not Raen." Sila whispered, realization finally dawning on her. "But you look just like him..."

"Well, despite that, I am not Raen and I never have been called Raen." The man smiled smugly. Sila bit her lip and tried to sort things out in her mind. A man that looked exactly like Raen, but had never even heard of him before...was she drunk? She hadn't even finished her second mug, so it couldn't be that...

"Who are you, then?" she asked finally, sitting down on the ground.

"Levi." the man said simply. Sila looked at him for a long time, then leaned back against the wall.

"I must be going insane..." she muttered.
