"The first thing I will teach you to do is to empty your mind of all things save one."

**She stuck a candle into a candlestick and brought it over to the table, lighting it as she set it down.**

"Firstly concentrate on the candle flame and just the candle flame. Watch it, how it moves how the colours change and flicker, let the candle fill your mind as if it were only you and the candle present here in this room. As some as another thought strays into your head push it away and resume concentrating on the candle."

"Err...so i just concentrate on the candle yes?" Celebros asked

"Yes..."

"Okay..."

**He settled into his chair and stared at the candle. It wasn't long before he burst out into a fit of giggles.**

"I feel so stupid starting at a candle, it seems so pointless..."

Elerrina sat quietly as Celebros attempted to meditate. Even such thoughts as he'd just voiced would pull him back from success. She spoke softly to him: "Celebros-- if you can, withhold all judgement of what you're doing. Let there be no good or bad, no sense of feeling foolish or afraid... your mind is not used to being quiet, so it takes some getting used to. Let go of every thought as it comes into your mind, let your thoughts rise as the smoke from the flame..."

She knew it wasn't easy. His trepidation about Karvanor was well founded... she sighed as Celebros' eyes moved back to the flame.

**Celebros sighed quietly and once again tried to empty his mind a solely concentrate on the candle flame, trying to envision his thoughts rising up and out of his mind like the smoke from tve candle. Slowly he sank into a meditative state and then slowly he sank deeper and deeper until he was borderline trancing. Elruwen saw this and guided him back to consciousness through spoken word. he woke up back to reality looking shaken and worried.**

"What's wrong Celebros?" Elruwen asked

Celebros was unable to speak just yet.
